As 2009 comes to a close, it’s time to reflect and plan for an Amazing 2010!
In fact, a decade is coming to a close and it’s fun to reflect on the last 10 years too…
One of the ways i like to celebrate is to take some time to take inventory and write them down…
What were the top accomplishments you were proud of for the year? Personally and professionally.
As it relates to business, I look at some of our students who are now becoming teachers in the world… making a difference out there and it’s probably one of the things I’m most proud of…
We’re creating the ‘wikipedia’ of mentoring…
If you’re not familiar with wikipedia, it’s a self-sustained group that grows itself, facilitated by the system within.
I’m so proud what our student/teachers are doing out there like Joni, Jit, Phillip, Ryan, Lesley, Vanessa, Darryl and more and see how we’ve created an incubator to develop students into teachers and coaches…
I’m also extremely proud of taking time this past year to enjoy being a dad and husband. Date night 2 days per week, scheduled mornings with my kids, and spending a LOT of time working in my living room versus going to the office.
These are just a couple of the things I’m proud of accomplishing in 2009 (and probably the highlights for the last decade too)
That’s not to say that I haven’t hit road bumps, challenges and problems along the way…
I’ve made a ton of mistakes over the years… But I’ve discovered that it’s not whether we make mistakes, it’s how we handle them… or like a great boxer, it’s not whether we get knocked down – and we will – it’s how long we stay down.
In the words of Rocky’s trainer: Mickey:
“Get up Rock… Get up Rock…”
And it’s time for you too…
Whether it’s been a year of greatness or not, I want you to “Get up…”
And it’s time to make this your best.
Find the good in what you’ve done. It’s time to celebrate and most importantly LEARN, so we can get better.
If you feel you have a song inside of you… or a message…. or a business idea… I want to help you get it out to the world.
Be on the lookout for the details of some events around the corner.
And in the meantime, as you close out 2009, here are some other ideas to stimulate those celebration glands, to get you to reflect on the greatness inside of you…
When you go through these questions, you’ll be filled with excitement by the time your done, realizing all the great things you’re accomplishing…
After all, the little things = BIG THINGS.
This is your time to do something BIG!
- What new things did I do this year?
- What new websites did I create?
- What new messages did I write to inspire or motivate someone?
- What new blogs did I write or contribute to?
- What new articles did I write?
- What new press releases did I get out?
- What new products did I release (or working to release)?
- What books did I read this year?
- What training courses did I go through this year?
- What was the best investment I made this year?
- What have I learned about myself this year?
- What relationships did I establish this year?
- What have I done to improve my health this year?
- What have I done to grow spiritually?
Take the time to celebrate the New Year in style, celebrating YOU!
And be ready for what’s to come…
Happy New Year!
Prosperity and Success,
Dan
