Ethics Pay Off in Online Marketing

To hear some people talk about it, the world of online marketing is nothing more than a den of thieves. The industry is populated by hucksters, liars, charlatans and crooks, according to some. That picture isn’t really accurate, of course, but it isn’t uncommon either. That’s why it’s so important for anyone who hopes to make money online to maintain the highest ethical standards to help combat this ugly perspective on marketing.

Let’s be honest. There’s a reason why so many people have a negative perspective on online marketing. It’s the same reason that the Federal Trade Commission has recently implemented a number of new standards regarding disclosures and the use of testimonials. While most of those involved with online marketing are “on the up and up”, there are just enough bad apples in the barrel to create mistaken perception of the industry as a whole.

The ugliness of this extends beyond the ripped off consumers. It puts the entire industry at risk. The Internet is ripe with profit potential, but the opportunity is contingent upon maintaining some level of trust with consumers.

The “there’s a sucker born every minute” attitude of some lousy online marketing practitioners may allow them to line their pockets will unearned income for awhile, but in the longer run it puts everyone at risk. The more people who suffer at the hands of unscrupulous marketers, the less likely we are to see as many willing buyers for our products and services.

In other words, ethical online marketing isn’t just the right thing to do (although that should be enough reason to stay on the straight and narrow). It’s also the smart thing to do. If you want to build your business, you’ll wnat to build a foundation of trust. If you want to keep making money via the Internet, you’ll also recognize the fact that you have an obligation to yourself to protect the industry from a rotten overall reputation.

Don’t be tempted to play on the edges of legitimacy to turn a fast dollar or two. It isn’t worth the ethical compromise required and it certainly isn’t in the long term interests of online marketing.

A Look at Online Business Coaching

If meeting face-to-face with a business coach is impractical, receiving the service through the computer could be another option. Online business coaching has been growing as more people connect through the Internet. Today’s technology is changing the way this form of mentoring works, making it accessible to more people than ever before.

For a traditional one-on-one session, interaction with a coach is possible through a computer with a few extra pieces of hardware, including a microphone and an Internet camera. People also can get coaching via the Internet through more basic methods, including chat sessions and e-mail exchanges.

One option for videoconferencing is an online service known as Skype. The company enables its users to talk, chat and video call through their website.

There are a growing number of sites that offer coaching services through the Internet. Many allow clients to pay for services online. Some sites also give clients the ability to schedule appointments right through the computer and have such features as a staff directory, complete with coaches’ professional biographies.

It is important to review coaches’ information to understand their background, areas of expertise and whether he or she has audiovisual or telephone capabilities in their office. Not all coaches provide the same level of service.

For a client on-the-go or in a remote area, logging into the Internet and receiving online business coaching can be an effective method of cultivating insight from professional practitioners.

Very recently, coaching was still reserved almost exclusively for high-level executives with massive salaries–the men and women who had already reached the highest rungs of the business ladder. That’s no longer the case. Today, business coaching is something anyone can access, thanks to technological innovation.

If you’ve been trying to find a way to ramp up your business, to create a major or positive change in your professional life or just feel as though you could benefit from the kind of guidance and mentoring a good business coach could provide, the service is now squarely within your reach. You’re reading this article. That means you have the technology and the skill levels necessary to take advantage of the opportunity.

Finding the Ideal Mentor For You

Trying to find a mentor that can meet your needs – and your schedule – might seem like a daunting task. But setting aside some time and finding the right person is well worth the effort. A great experienced ally can help with career changes or finding direction in any other life topic.

While mentors often share a great deal in common in terms of their attitude and desire to assist “up and comers” to reach their goals, each one offers something different. For example, some may have specialized knowledge in particular areas. Different mentors approach the communication process differently, as well. Some may want personal “face to face” time with those they are mentoring while others may be completely comfortable relying upon the telephone or computer technology to stay in connected.

There are several steps you can take to locate the right mentor for you. One of the simplest methods is by thinking of those with whom you may have some connection who have achieved a tremendous level of success. While there are “professional” mentors, many of the best experiences involve people who are approached with the opportunity to make a difference–even if the idea of being a mentor hadn’t previously occurred to them.

You also can do some investigating on your own. Searching the Internet can be a valuable method of finding a good match. Several organizations have databases that include people who are ready to take on the responsibilities of a mentor.

Websites, may offer mentors’ biographies, areas of expertise and professional backgrounds. If you come across someone you would like to meet with, contact them.

If you are willing to spend a little time seeking advice from family, friends, professional organizations or through a simple online search, you should be able to find a mentor that will help you with your needs.

Having an experienced professional ally on your side, showing you the ropes and helping you to confront challenging business situations can be overwhelmingly valuable. There’s no reason to fight your way through the School of Hard Knocks when you can find the perfect tutor in the form of a helpful mentor.

Coaching – The Ultimate Success Shortcut

How can you get from where you are today to where you really want to be as quickly as possible?

We’re talking about making progress in your personal or professional life. You have goals and you want to reach them. If you’re like most of us, you don’t want to wait any longer than necessary to hit those milestones. Wouldn’t it be great if there was some way to accelerate the process–a secret strategy for success? There is. It’s coaching.

Personal and business coaching was once an aid reserved only for those who happened to have great jobs and access to substantial resources. Linking up with a great guide who could serve as a sounding board for ideas and who was capable of providing the benefit of experience and expertise was difficult and often quite costly.

That’s not the case today. Coaching is growing in popularity and has become far less expensive than ever before thanks to the growth of technologies like the Internet that facilitate more efficient patterns of communication. Today, laborious face-to-face meetings are a thing of the past. One can consult with coaching experts via email or an instant messaging service. That hasn’t just driven down prices–it has also increased accessibility. Today, anyone can find and utilize the services of a business or life coach.

And the advantages of these interactions is tremendous. Instead of re-inventing the wheel or grappling with new problems without having any plan in mind, a good coach can provide you with experienced, professional recommendations. There’s no need to struggle quite as hard with every professional or personal decision when you have wise counsel in your corner. Imagine what a difference that could make when applied to your personal situation.

Many of the biggest success stories in a variety of industries credit their coaches with assisting them to reach their objectives faster than they would’ve been able to manage as a “solo act”.

We’re all in the same boat. We know that we want to make progress and we don’t want to waste any time doing so. Coaching provides a shortcut, allowing use to benefit from the wisdom of others.

The Wide World of Online Marketing and What it Means to You

Online marketing isn’t a single business model. It doesn’t involve a particular product. It’s a wide and far-reaching field that covers everything from seven-dollar informational reports, to collecting ad clicks, to selling affiliate products to pitching tangible goods via the Internet. It’s a wide, wide world filled with opportunities.

That’s one reason why it doesn’t make any sense for anyone to discount the idea of online marketing. With so many options and so much flexibility, it really is an opportunity for anyone to imporve his or her bottom line.

It also means that anyone who would like to make money online has the opportunity to do so. There are so many different ways of turning a buck that it’s unthinkable that there is anyone out there who can’t find at least one appealing strategy or system.

Understanding just how big the field is incredibly important. It gives people the opportunity to match their personal skills, interests and financial situation with marketing strategies that will “fit them”. This isn’t a cookie cutter world and knowing that you can find a way to do what you do best in a profitable manner can be life-changing.

Recognizing the massive size of the online marketing world has another ramification, too. It gives people a reason to step away from the crowd to explore new and potentially profitable niches. Too many marketers develop a kind of tunnel vision, believing (mistakenly) that they’re only route to riches is by selling Internet marketing products to other marketers. While that can be a lucrative market space, it’s a very small piece of the overall available pie. understanding that can put some people who are struggling off in a new,  more profitable direction.

When one begins to see the big picture with respect to online marketing, it can be a real game-changing moment. Suddenly, one begins to realize that he or she can tap into his or her greatest strengths as a marketer while simultaneously targeting the niche markets in which he or she has the most interest.

Those who take a narrow perspective miss that opportunity.  They find themselves struggling with tasks they don’t enjoy (and for which they don’t have a proclivity) in arenas that don’t really interest them. That’s not a recipe for success and it certainly isn’t a good plan to maximize personal happiness.

Life is a Marathon – Enjoy it!

I just got back from a run today as I’m building up
to run a Marathon at the end of January.

What you should know is that this is:
- my first one
- I’ve never run long distances before
- I just turned 40

Why do I share this with you and what does it have
to do with you?

To me, I consider it a lot like building success in
business.

You’ve got to make a decision to start, and then take
small steps to ‘build-up’ along the way.

I made the decision to do this about 5 weeks ago when
my buddy decided he was going to run across the country
to raise $100 mil for homeless kids.

I thought to myself… well, heck… he’s willing to run
across the country.

At least I can train to do ‘1′ marathon.

So 4 weeks ago I started.

I talked to a few experts about training.  Picked up the
right equipment and then have made a goal to build up
in small increments.  I do it based solely on time at
this point (along with monitoring my heart rate to keep
it at 155 or below during my training runs…

Next, I started at only going 20 mins, and then making a
simple goal of increasing by 5 minutes each time out.

Well, it’s now been several weeks into this and today
I completed a full 60 minutes of running.

And it got me to thinking of you and this whole experience.

It’s so much like building success with a business online.

You make the choice to get started.

You work with an expert (or experts to help you)

You  get the right equipment.

You get out there and make small strides.

The key though is you’ve got to keep moving forward.

I’m not running everyday either.

I’m committed to run at max three days in a week and most
weeks it will be two—
because my schedule is a little busy.

The fact is, I’ve scheduled it in and doing small chunks
and i’m NOT trying to RUN the MARATHON today…
Because if I did, I’d probably HURT MYSELF….

Just like I see some people do in a ‘metaphorical’ sense
with success and business.

People get so caught up with the rush of making dough
online they try to run a marathon (make a bunch of cash)
with unreasonable timetables…

For me, I’m not in a rush to even attempt to run
a marathon (or 26.2 miles).  I expect to peak out near
the end of January (5 full months into this process),
slowly and surely getting better all the time.

Building success is soooo much easier than you and I
have been led to believe… and it’s more than just
money and stuff…

It’s about the process of building character as you commit
to something, rising above some of the obstacles and being
willing to stay the course…

With that being said, I pinged you the other day
about something you’ve GOT to see if you’re
serious about winning in the game of business…

>>  Hit this link and watch this video now

The fact is this is soo much bigger than you can
imagine… and as of now I noticed you haven’t
gone to check it out yet…

Go now, before he takes it down!

>>  Hit this link and watch this video now

And wait until you hear about
some of the interviews he talks about in this new video.

You’re gonna have to see it to believe it -

Hit this link now and check it out:

And by all means…

Get out of the bleachers…
Get on the field…

Make a commitment to play and win!

You can do it.

Prosperity and Success,
Dan

PS – Stop being ‘one of those’ people
that looks for the quick fix and trying to
’sprint’ to success.

Take small steps building your endurance
and pace to win this great game of life.
After all, life is a marathon filled with
a lot of small journeys…

You can write the ’script’ of what those
journeys look like.  Enjoy those journeys!

re- One Degree Can Make a Huge Difference…

It’s often been said that the difference between ordinary
and extraordinary is just a little “extra”.

One degree determines the difference between boiling water
and steam…

One degree off at contact hitting a golf ball determines
whether you end up in the fairway, or off in the trees…

One degree off on a putt, determines dropping it in the
bottom of the cup and shooting bogie…

I could go on and on, however that one degree ‘extra’
can make the difference between a life of success
and one of mediocrity.

As you’re inspired by the video above, what’s one
thing ‘extra’ you can do for you, family, work,
business that would get your closer to your
goals?

What’s one ‘extra’ thing you can do for your
community?

What’s one ‘thing’ you can start today to get on the
path to success?

Success is closer than you think.

Do something ‘extra’.
