It’s often been said that the difference between ordinary
and extraordinary is just a little “extra”.
One degree determines the difference between boiling water
and steam…
One degree off at contact hitting a golf ball determines
whether you end up in the fairway, or off in the trees…
One degree off on a putt, determines dropping it in the
bottom of the cup and shooting bogie…
I could go on and on, however that one degree ‘extra’
can make the difference between a life of success
and one of mediocrity.
As you’re inspired by the video above, what’s one
thing ‘extra’ you can do for you, family, work,
business that would get your closer to your
goals?
What’s one ‘extra’ thing you can do for your
community?
What’s one ‘thing’ you can start today to get on the
path to success?
Success is closer than you think.
Do something ‘extra’.

An absolute awesome video…Kudos, Mr. D! What is the one thing I would do extra?
I have always tried, to he best of my ability to focus more intently on the things at hand. Every effort was made to follow through and…BELIEVE! And I still do!

Can’t believe I am the first to comment! I thought the video was great! I commit to do just “something” extra that will help me prosper online. I have been a member of the Prosperity Based Living for almost a year now but I have gotten sidetracked several times and have not used the membership to its fullest potential and have not been actively using the concepts and training. I commit to becoming active and start putting the things I learn into practice.

It makes you think, it takes work to make money. As a lot of so called Guru’s will tell you it’s easy to make it, but don’t tell you any thing. Watching the clip will get you thinking I’ve got to push a little harder to get things done.

I can’t decide if 212 is a shove between the shoulder blades, a boot in the ass or a potential pat on the head. Probably all of the above. Anyway, it’s fabulous. Good rev.

Hey Dan!
I’ve got to be the first to jump all over this post because I actually own a copy of the original that was published and released back in 2006.
This is not just another book that you would find in the self-help section of a major retail bookstore. And I’m not even certain you can find it there anymore.
In any case, instead of telling you what one degree of extra effort I would put forth to take much farther down the road — I want to share with you and everyone else that reads this post in what way 212 Degrees can serve one extra specific purpose taking one of my favorite excerpts from the book itself:
“There are no real secrets to success. Success in anything has one fundamental aspect – effort. To achieve exponential results requires additional effort. Take your courses. Read your books. Listen to your tapes. But take action. Take action with commitment. Then, when you’re ready for exponential results, apply the extra effort.
Sometimes you’ll have immediate exponential results and sometimes you’ll realize the benefits of your extra effort much farther down the road. Regardless, in many cases, it may only be that one extra push that gets you ten times the results you were attempting to originally obtain.”
by Sam Parker & Mac Anderson of 212 Degrees – the extra degree

For every pursuit of happiness in life that we seek out — one thing will always hold true for me:
To become the ultimate student of higher learning and create more glorified moments does not just command and require a new way of thinking, but also a new way of acting.
Respectfully,
JJ Hiller

Powerful message, Dan. Reminds me of the message within “The Razor’s Edge”. Thanks for sharing.
The one thing extra I can do right now is actually a combination of things that all tie together. In a word, focus.
First, there’s a lot of mess to be cleared up, unfinished business to conclude, and a clear plan to be established. It’s a work in progress. I know what I want and the Protege Course will help me to get there. Until my old, scattered ideas and involvements are cleared up – of which there were many – I’m finding complete focus a challenge. As I say… I’m working on it.
I know it’s down to me, no-one else, and clearing the mess will open the path to becoming the best I can be for my own benefit and the benefit of others.
On a more immediate level… I’m sending a donation to the Mission for aid to Philippines. Fortunately, my Fiancee’s area was not hit this time, but she has elders in Manila with families, whom she has not yet been able to contact.
Ultimately, I hope, my involvement in and with the Protege Program will enable me to be of more meaningful help to the people of the Republic of Philippines, if only in a small way. Seeing young kids sleeping in shop doorways is hearbreaking. Likewise to see young kids selling fruit in the streets, because their families are too poor to provide for their schooling, is food for thought.
Thanks again, Dan. God Bless.

if we just make a 1% improvement each in our lives imagine in 1 year we will have improved by 360% ,one % improvement or 1% better then the next person is all it takes to be the best just be willing to make the effort is the start

Hello Dan! Thanks for sharing the video! I especially like the quote by Margaret Meade…just a little more effort by each of us can make a big difference, but if a group of us make the effort together, we can change the world! I hope your Protege program gives us the opportunity to make a collective difference…
God Bless!

WOW !!! I really enjoyed all 212 degrees and it does hit home. I have ALWAYS been one to take a beating over caring TOO MUCH.Most of the time it pays off but other times when “THE MAN” stomps you down it is hard to get back up.
THANKYOU !

Hi Dan, 212 degrees…what a great analogy. The combination of video with this idea creates a greater whole…a view that clarifies the effort it takes to convert a dream into reality. We all engage in dreaming, but actualizing our dream requires focused action. Kind of like viewing an out of focus picture, which becomes more and more clear as we begin adding layers of action. These actions are based on our understanding of where we are going and how we will get there. It is a growth process, which rewards us by degree. Each degree is one step closer to our purpose (goal). As we become more centered and aware of our part in the greater scheme of things, we become more successful. Thanks for sharing with us.
